Pembentukan Identitas Kewarganegaraan Melalui Komunitas Suporter Bobotoh Persib Bandung

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses pembentukan identitas kewarganegaraan dalam komunitas Bobotoh Persib Bandung sebagai bentuk kewargaan kultural yang berkembang di luar jalur formal kenegaraan. Berangkat dari fenomena maraknya keterlibatan komunitas suporter dalam berbagai aktivitas sosial, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode observasi partisipatif, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa identitas kewarganegaraan dalam komunitas Bobotoh terbentuk melalui proses interaksi sosial, internalisasi nilai, serta representasi simbolik yang berlangsung secara konsisten dan kolektif. Nilai-nilai seperti loyalitas, solidaritas, kepedulian sosial, dan nasionalisme lokal terbangun melalui pengalaman bersama dalam mendukung klub sepak bola, serta diperkuat oleh aktivitas komunitas dalam ranah sosial dan budaya. Komunitas ini juga berfungsi sebagai ruang publik alternatif yang memungkinkan warga menegosiasikan identitas, nilai, dan keterlibatan sosial secara otonom. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa komunitas budaya populer seperti Bobotoh memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk identitas kewarganegaraan yang reflektif, partisipatif, dan kontekstual. Temuan ini memberi kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan pendidikan kewarganegaraan berbasis komunitas dan pendekatan partisipatif dalam memperkuat karakter warga negara di era kontemporer.
