Peran Literasi Kritis Dalam Meningkatkan Pemikiran Kritis Mahasiswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran literasi kritis dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menyelidiki peran literasi kritis dalam mengembangkan pemikiran kritis mahasiswa di era digital, dengan fokus pada kemampuan analisis informasi. Menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring (Google Form) terhadap 135 mahasiswa multidisiplin dari beberapa kampus (UNIMED, USM-Indonesia, UNIAS, ITERA, UPR, dll.) dan wawancara mendalam dengan mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia UNIMED. Temuan kuantitatif mengungkap bahwa: (1) 85 responden (63%) sering menggunakan literasi kritis dalam tugas akademik, namun 63 responden (47%) masih kesulitan membedakan fakta dan opini; (2) hanya 19 responden (14%) yang rutin memverifikasi informasi melalui jurnal akademik. Data kualitatif dari wawancara memperlihatkan bahwa ketergantungan pada media sosial dan minimnya kebiasaan membaca sumber kredibel menjadi penghambat utama. Analisis tematik mengidentifikasi tiga masalah kritis: (a) dominasi media sosial sebagai sumber informasi tidak terverifikasi, (b) rendahnya kemampuan identifikasi bias dalam teks, dan (c) kurangnya praktik menulis analitis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan literasi kritis memerlukan intervensi terstruktur melalui: (1) integrasi modul literasi digital dalam kurikulum, (2) pelatihan analisis wacana kritis bagi dosen, dan (3) pengembangan komunitas baca kritis di kalangan mahasiswa. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan model pembelajaran literasi di perguruan tinggi, khususnya dalam menghadapi tantangan misinformasi digital.
