Tanggapan Mahasiswa Muslim Universitas Negeri Medan Terhadap Peningkatan Representasi LGBT Dalam Media Populer

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respon mahasiswa Muslim Universitas Negeri Medan terhadap meningkatnya representasi kelompok LGBT di media populer.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 25 siswa untuk mengetahui sikap dan persepsinya.Hasilnya, 93% responden pernah melihat konten LGBT, namun 80% di antaranya keberatan dengan penyebaran konten tersebut, dan 80% di antaranya keberatan dengan penyebaran konten LGBT yang dianggap tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai agama dan budaya menunjukkan bahwa dia memiliki pandangan kritis terhadap masalah ini.Faktor yang mempengaruhi cara pandang ini antara lain latar belakang agama, pengetahuan tentang isu LGBT, dan pengaruh lingkungan sosial.Kajian ini merekomendasikan perlunya diskusi terbuka dan program edukasi di lembaga pendidikan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap keberagaman dengan tetap menghormati nilai-nilai agama.Hasil ini menyoroti pentingnya dialog konstruktif tentang toleransi dan keberagaman di kalangan siswa.
