Abstract

Puisi "Karawang Bekasi" karya Chairil Anwar merupakan salah satu karya puisi terkenal yang mengangkat tema perjuangan kemerdekaan Indonesia. Puisi ini secara harfiah menceritakan tentang dua kota Karawang dan Bekasi, namun secara simbolik memiliki makna yang lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis puisi tersebut secara pragmatik, yaitu dengan mengungkapkan bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur yang terkandung di dalamnya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode analisis pragmatik dan teori tindak tutur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai jenis tindak tutur seperti asertif, ekspresif, direktif, dan komisif yang digunakan Chairil Anwar untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan subversif sekaligus menginspirasi pembaca. Melalui tindak tutur tersebut, Chairil berupaya merangkul partisipasi emosional pembaca dalam semangat perjuangan kemerdekaan. Dengan demikian, analisis pragmatik mampu memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam terhadap makna dan pesan yang tersirat dalam puisi tersebut.
