Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berbicara (maharah kalam) mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab (PBA) di STAIN Bengkalis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan angket self-efficacy dan tes maharah kalam sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data, yang kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-efficacy memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa, dengan nilai t hitung (3,786) yang lebih besar dari t tabel (2,364) dan nilai signifikansi (0,005) lebih kecil dari 0,10. Pengalaman positif dalam berbicara bahasa Arab, seperti keberhasilan dalam presentasi dan dukungan dari teman sekelas dan dosen, meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan motivasi mahasiswa untuk berlatih lebih intensif. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pengembangan self-efficacy sebagai strategi untuk mengatasi hambatan psikologis dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, yang pada gilirannya dapat meningkatkan kompetensi berbicara mahasiswa secara signifikan.
